Kristy Kurjan is happy to be a part of Pathfinder School and Horizon Book’s B.E.A.R. Day on Thursday, October 2nd. She will be signing books at Horizon Book Store in Traverse City on Front street at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM that day!
Here is more information no the event:
Each year, Horizon Books partners with Pathfinder for Be Excited About Reading Day. Horizons generously donates a percentage of the days proceeds towards the school. You can purchase books, gift certificates for future use and toys either in person or by phone knowing that a small portion of that sale will come back to the school in kind. Plan ahead for Christmas shopping and buy gift certificates. Have grandparents call in to order books over the phone. We also have a Pathfinder table near the front entrance with crates filled with “wish list” books selected by teachers for their classroom or school library. You can fill out a personalized book plate and then buy books that will be donated towards the school.

Nap-A-Roo for kids & parents – Monday, July 28, 2014
TRAVERSE CITY — Author, Kristy Kurjan sat down with 7&4’s Melissa Smith to talk about her recent children’s book, “Nap-A-Roo” during 7&4 News Today. Kurjan, is a mother of two-year-old twin boys and knows the struggles parents can sometimes face when it comes to naptime. With that in mind, Kurjan wrote “Nap-A-Roo” to help parents make that smooth transition from play to sleep.
With colorful images and an engaging storyline, Kurjan says the book is a chance for kids to not only love naptime, but to enjoy reading. Kurjan will have a book signing Thursday, July 31st from 2 to 4 p.m. at Horizon Books in Traverse City. The book is also available at Sweet Pea Baby Boutique in Traverse City, Bright Blooms Kinderplay in Traverse City and The Bookstore in Frankfort.
